A REAL RECORD STORE!

Unlike many record dealers, Vinyl Resting Place is a real store that has been in operation since 1997. Although we are located in the historic neighborhood of St. Johns in Portland, Oregon, we have shipped records to our customers around the world.

RECORDS AND CDs BOUGHT & SOLD.

We buy collections of records - primarily, but not limited to, jazz, classic rock, blues, folk, punk, and more. We are happy to look at your records in the store on Friday/Saturday/Sunday, from 10-6 (10-5 Sundays). Our buyer can make arrangements to look over larger collections at your location. $1 RECORD SALE EVENTS

We hold two annual $1 record sales - every 2nd Saturday in May, following the annual St Johns Parade; and again in mid-September to celebrate  Vinyl Resting Place’s birthday.
